Admission Requirements for Bachelor Degree

The programme encompasses the basic IT technology, both applied and fundamental. The programme also provides advanced knowledge of IT to prepare the students for challenges in IT career. The programme is full-time courses.

Admission Criteria (2023)

  • The students who gained total 320 marks and above in their Matriculation Examination  2024  can apply the entrance of the University of Computer Studies (Thaton).
  • The applicants/students will be selected in the order of their total marks.
  • A maximum of 200 students are accepted every year.

Programme Structure

University of Computer Studies (Thaton), UCSTT, currently offers two-degree programmes :

Bachelor of Computer Science (B.C.Sc.)
Bachelor of Computer Technology (B.C.Tech.)

  • Students have to take seven semesters course work and one semester internship for bachelor degree.
  • Students must obtain the total ACU required for the completion of the programme within a period between the minimum and maximum candidature period.
  • After completing the bachelor degree programme, qualified students can join to Master degree programme.

To be eligible for the award of B.C.Sc. / B.C.Tech. degree, a student must obtain the total ACU required for the completion of the programme within a period between the minimum and maximum candidature period.

Programme Duration

The bachelor degree programme is full-time 5 years degree programmes.  The academic year at UCSTT consists of two semesters. In each semester, there will be 16 weeks lecture and 1 week examination. First Semester usually starts in November and ends in March. Second Semester usually starts in June and ends in September.
